SSI Stress Rescue Diver - Scuba Diving Courses
The SSI Stress Rescue Diver course will help develop your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The SSI Stress Rescue Diver course is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. In addition, and perhaps more importantly you will be able to recognise stress in others and will have the knowledge to be able to diffuse this, before stress levels rise to the point where panic occurs.
At Air Diving Academy we focus on the diffusion of stress. We teach how scuba dives should be conducted so that everyone has a good time in a comfortable and safe environment where stress is not a factor. We will also train you to deal with a situation should it arise - hopefully you will never have to.
A good Stress Rescue Diver recognises the situations in which stress can occur amongst different personality types and the signs and symptoms of stress should it arise. They are able to deal with stress within themselves and are thus available to assist other divers who are not as experienced.
After completing a Stress & Rescue course you will be a SSI Stress Rescue Diver. If a scuba diving accident were to occur whilst you were around you would have the knowledge to co-ordinate resources and ensure the appropriate actions are taken.
The SSI Stress Rescue Diver certification is also a prerequisite for all SSI Leadership programs.
